About the Air Canada Virtual Airlines Canada CRJ 100/200 for Flight Simulator FSX
The Canada CRJ 100/200 program was launched at the Paris Airshow in June 1991 on the basis of just six orders placed by ILFC late in 1992 and the predicted better prospects of the commercial virtual airliner market, which were certainly realised by Air Canada Virtual Airlines for use with Flight Simulator. The first Canada CRJ 100/200 for Air Canada Virtual Airlines airline order came in 2005 for a total of several more samples, whose order for six were received in February 2005. Since then Air Canada Virtual Airlines has been extensively using the Canada CRJ 100/200 for domestic and United States flights in Flight Simulator versions FS2002, Fs2004 and FSX.
The Canada CRJ 100/200 is a minimum change, shortened derivative of the highly successful flight simulator Embraer 170. Air Canada Virtual Airlines also operates a large number of Rejional Jet aircraft along side the Canada CRJ 100/200 fleet. The major difference between the Canada CRJ 100/200 and Embraer 170 in Flight Simulator and the real world is that the latter is shorter by seven fuselage frames, while in almost all other respects the Canada CRJ 100/200 and Embraer 170 are identical in both flight simulator and the real world.
